The mission of the Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec (FMSQ) is to defend and support its 10,000 medical specialists working in 59 recognized specialties, while also promoting quality care for Quebec residents.

Shaking off the ‘fraternity’ image

To break away from the ‘union’ label, the FMSQ created an Innovation Office (Bureau de l’innovation) that aims to identify and promote innovation in specialized medicine to ensure excellence in care for Quebec’s population. This new showcase will shine a spotlight on technological innovations and innovative practices that will benefit patients in the public health network.

Persée sees the light of day

The Persée brand was created for the FMSQ’s showcase for the health innovation. This new brand name refers to a “breakthrough” in the field of health and to the son of Zeus, Perseus, a brave hero of Greek mythology.

Graphically, we opted for a warm, lower-case font and a broad color palette that can match any photo. Finally, we made the period a key graphic element to maintain a close link with the FMSQ.
